ABOUT
H I G H W A Y makes homewares, bedding & clothing for & inspired by the homes we live in: our bodies, our home spaces, the places we live in & the places that live in us.
Based out of my home workshop in West Hurley NY, H I G H W A Y takes inspiration from the surrounding environment of my current home in the Catskills, the coast of New England I called home before, and the many roadside landscapes I have traveled in between.
We source high quality fabrics made from natural fibers reflective of the environment we inhabit & of which we are a part, and the needs that are required of us in these places: organic cotton, linen, silk, wool, leather, suede & shearling. We source from as close to home as possible, or recycle vintage fabrics where appropriate.
All pieces are hand-dyed with plants & minerals using non-toxic processes that mirror the colors of the seasons around us.
HOME & BODY/ INSIDE & OUT - interrelated, yet sometimes opposing concepts.
H I G H W A Y creates easy, wearable garments with an emphasis on quality construction and classic, simple silhouettes; Homewares with an emphasis on bringing the outside world into your home, and a harmony between the two.
ORDERING INFORMATION
As each piece is handmade to order, please allow 2-3 weeks for regular processing and delivery, unless otherwise specified. also, due to natural dye processes, each item is unique and variations in color and patterning are likely to occur. we are happy to create custom orders and are always open to collaborations.
